He won't say what its doing or why - not even a clue. I had all my buys in EURUSD close with profit this morning so thats good. Its the sells I'm worried about now though I'm only at DD of 2.5%.
Hello @fxtrader10 ,
Due to my long positions are not closed,
would you share your open positions now?
Thank you.

I've all sells open as of now. I don't understand why we all have different orders open. Alex should make it clear to us all why we all have different results.

Well some of us still need that recovery to clclose the buy orders. I also feel the hedging will help keep the DD lower...
There is a real problem here. One of the issues is that for some people like myself, those sell trades are no longer hedging....they are an actual position because we have no buys open. For some like you who have the buys still open these are hedging trades. Some major inconsistencies here and I just wish Alex would tell us why we have different trades open. I've been asking this since last week but he chooses to ignore the requests to understand more about the EA and it's logic.

the logic is quite easy to get,it's a grid martingale so if the euro don't come back soon that means trouble
grid, yes, not really a standard martingale. the size of the lots don't always increase.
I think the EA has multiple types of entries signals, each one with level of risk, low risk = higher low size.
if the market ranges, both sell and buy batches will terminates in profit.
else we'll test the 30% close behavior... :)
but I'm pretty sure that the range will occurred and first the sell batch will be closed, then the signal will go up.

Hi Alex,
Your 6th trade lot size (i.e. 0.48) is 12 times higher than first trade lot size (i.e. 0.04) in the same direction whereas the trend is opposite of your trade. What is logic behind this!!
Regards,
@ddr555 I think you didn't understood yet the strategy behind this robot.
The strategy seems to be grid and martingale but your lot exponent seems very high. I mean what lot exponent are you using in the grid?
I believe that strategy stops selling when up trending occurs and then waits until the down trend is confirmed. Once this happens the distance between the last order and lotsize will be used to determine the next lotsize. Since the grid stopped selling and waited for a down trend to continue, the grid distance was significantly larger which results in the much larger lot size.
I would admit the lot exponent does not exist the way that you are thinking. Nice Job BlueMonkey!!!!
either way, it will result in heart aches.

The EA is not hedging. Buy positions and sell positions are managed/opened irrelevantly. Therefore there is no "real problem" here.
We have mentioned before too that we missed the profit target by minor differences which is very common to have variations from one broker to another.
The EA is working in absolute perfect condition. It is not opening mad positions, It is perfectly following a logic. Now we cannot disclose what the logic exactly is but we can guarantee you there is one.
And end of the day, an EA is not a money printing machine. There is good times and bad times and there is absolutely nothing wrong with hitting a StopLoss. It is one of the basic principals of trading.

Alex - thanks for your message. So the buys and sells are completely independent of eachother. So is the system putting 60% of the account at risk when a batch of buys and sells are opened?
Also, surely it would be great to have some logic built into the EA so that it can say to itself "You know what - we are 1 pip off but the market isnt going to move so lets just take the profit we have minus the 1 pip."
It doesn't feel right that a system gives back all the money it made to the market......
What do you think of that idea? Something worth considering implementing?

fxtrader10, good contribution!
Alex, people are happy with the profits i'm pretty sure but also kind of scared because the EA is not copying the master account...
Guys, maybe i'm wrong but I THINK it seems that the EA open/close positions according to the candles and depending on the broker's timezones the candles are different this is why the trades are not the same... i think this is the only explanation... according to my poor knowledge :)

I am happy so far but that was a bumpy ride for 5% profit. I have another two EAs running and I can assure you my results (save a few pips here or there) all match the vendors account entries and exits. It really should be the same here and I'm just not sure why it isn't the case here and an EA shouldn't give back all its profits just because of 1 pip.
It is quite a scary experience when you compare your account to the master account because you end up thinking - is the EA broken? Have I set it up correctly? etc....

I agree that hitting a SL is normal and should be expected at some point - I guess the more frustrating part is if it happens the day after your purchased the EA and you take a 30% hit. Luckily that didn't happen and I now have a nice little profit so far which is fantastic - thanks for that! I wish I knew the secret strategy behind it but I have confidence you know what your doing with your product and its strong points and weak points and I'm also sure your working on alleviating any weak points it may have so please....keep up the good work.
