Sure, the more filters in line, the higher the probality of success. But it didn't ran no single order on startegy tester. Takes a lot of time as well;) i'll go through the 6 majors and report back to you!

hi walter!

2 questions:

- do the ea/indicators also analyze higher timeframes than the one, on which the ea is running? if yes, then could a different gmt-offset of the broker produce different signals/patterns (since the higher tf candles differ if the time is shifted). i'am asking because i run your ea on a demo with a broker with gmt-offset of 0 and my trades differ quite a lot. -> https://www.myfxbook.com/members/snowy/ht-v28/611947

- which 18 pairs do you trade? why not the others? because of bad backtest-results?

thanks! :)

Yes unfortunately it takes a lot of time doing back tests.
That is because the zup indicator needs a lot of time to calculate and draw patterns.
You can however use open prices only to speed up the process.
This way it is of course not 100% accurate but it gives you a rough idea and you can adjust settings accordingly.

Only the TF and pair on which the EA is applied is analyzed.
A different broker and GMT offset will produce different candles and therefore different trades, that's life :)

I trade (H1): EURUSD, GBPUSD, AUDUSD, NZDUSD, EURGBP, USDCAD, AUDJPY, USDJPY, CADJPY, EURJPY, GBPJPY, CHFJPY, USDCHF, EURCHF, GBPCHF, NZDCHF, AUDCHF, XAUUSD.
I chose those because they have the lowest spread and more important because they deliver the most patterns.
If you open a pair and put a zup indicator on it you can see in a glance if this pair is any good to trade Harmonic Patterns.
I only did back tests on EURUSD while developing the EA.

I recommend the H1 TF and up. The higher the TF the less trades of course.

BTW, your demo account is doing nice. Is this the set file you downloaded from the web site (5 stop orders) or default settings?

Hey there!
Finally managed to get the EA up and running. Just needed a different broker. Still don't know why :/
Results vary a lot, depending on the pairs traded.
Need to try it again some time with my newly designated broker, if its still running there ;)
Do you think about some special offers for this EA? What about support? Is the serial valid for 'lifetime' or just until the next update?

Regards
CMA

Good you got it running.
Like it says on the web site, I offer a 30% refund on every additional license, life time updates and lifetime support.
And like you can see I give support to non customers as well :)

I didn't see the price went down to only 99$. But should I imagine the additional license is needed as trading with a 2nd broker at the same time or when I switch brokers?

It'll take a couple of days to test on other brokers as well, but if you're into lowering the price again, don't hesitate to let me know ;)

P.s.: Damn heavy work of programming all this iCustoms in there and make it still function. Respect and hats off!
PPs: Planing on something working for stocks as well? In case it does, i haven't tried this yet...

Yes, price went down and it's now 99 EUR :)
Broker doesn't matter, you just need an additional license for each additional live account. (30% refund on each additional license)
You can switch licenses to any broker as often as you like.

Ps: thanks :)
PPs: you can apply the EA to ANY chart, forex, shares, indices, commodities...anything.

TimePeriod 01.01.2013 - 13.06.2013
Setfile from Website
Method 'Open Price'
TF H1
Initial deposit = 1000$

Broker: GKFX Demo

USDCHF
no trades
GBPUSD
8$
EURUSD
no trades
USDJPY
no trades
AUDUSD
no trades
EURGBP
no trades
EURAUD
no trades
EURCHF
no trades
EURJPY
no trades
GBPCHF
no trades

No errors in journal, tried it also with HighSpreadFilter = False, didn't change anything about the 'no trades' problem.
Seems to me like the EA doesn't like London based and regulated brokers (tried 2 so far), which is unfortunately quite important to me...
Worked with non London-based brokers well, even if the results were varying (tried 2 as well ;) ).

I also checked in visual mode a couple of times, ZUP and PRZ are showing up as the should, just no orders were placed.
Any suggestions what to do (besides changing the broker)?

If there are no error messages then it should be fine.
Just to rule out a broker issue, disable all filters and have another go. (maybe every tick)

try to set your risk to false and use fix lot value to 0.1
Plan your trades and trade your plans.

Thx for the tip, Rustan.
By checking back with the order sizes of GKFX, it clearly shows that on most pairs the minimum lotsize has to be 0.1 lot, and with this size the HT EA is running fine :/
Damn, i hate to choose brokers :D

Thx all for your support!

ill be honest, the last loss was a good learning experience, as it teaches you not to trade during a quiet week and the biggest lesson of all, if you see pending orders that are all same base like in our last case JPY, either lower the risk, or kill some of the pairs pending...

as this could should have been just a small loss... instead a 10% hit

No trading during a quiet week? Where did you learn that?

You are right about the risk on those JPY pairs, but I was willing to take the risk.
Doesn't mean everybody should. (max 2 pairs of same base)
It could as well been +30% 🙄

Anyway, this are the default settings: (first graph on my web site)

However, in the next release of the EA I will integrate a function to not trade a currency if there is already a position opened with that currency, and pending orders of the same currency will be deleted.
That's a thing some people have been asking for in the past.

Walter,
I in no way meant it as an insult... and when i said teaches you, it referenced to us as a group, that it a good teaching loss, if we don't learn something from it, then it will just repeat itself.

yes your right it could have been 30% if it went correctly, but in trading we are always focused on risk minimizing, to make sure we are able to fight another day. With harmonics, a trader has am edge ( like a casino has an edge over the long term), so even though some bad trades happen, as long as the risk is controlled, over the long term a trader will make money with harmonics..
