They are, of course. They allow you to practise trading without risking real money by using virtual money. Demo trading can be very useful for evaluating the performance of a trade strategy and for trader education. If you jump into the live market without practising then you’ll end up losing all your funds.

Yeah I totally agree. If you practise for hours and learn nothing, it’s a waste. Dedicate less time but make sure that you learn well. Forex doesn’t require 15–16 hours of learning and practising. 2-3 hours a day is enough if you are focused well.

Well written with deep knowledge. Thank you for the post. I agree with you totally. No matter how experienced you are, if you aren’t disciplined you will lose your money. 90% of people enter and exit the forex market as they cannot stand the losses. You will not make millions overnight, it takes years to make money. Manage risks properly and stay disciplined if you want to be successful in this highly volatile market.

I don’t think it is since not every trader is able to make money. Some traders don’t even make a single profit because of the constantly changing market conditions. It takes time for a trader to make money that not all traders are comfortable with.

As a beginner, I am sure that you would be really excited about trading and making money. But let me tell you that it is not going to be that easy without proper education. Find the direction of the market and build your strategy in accordance with that. Stick to your plan and take lessons from your losses.

The trading psychology in fx for me is that I stay calm so that I trade logically not emotionally. I have found that if I am calm, I am able to make better decisions when it comes to trading. I am also less likely to make impulsive decisions that can often lead to losses.
