I think 0.850 could be the new bottom but I expect that the euro will regain positions over the next days and the price will rise up to consolidate around 0.860.

I switched to intraday trading keeping open positions only on Dow and DAX for a short period of time to earn on the momentum after the elections. This proved to be a good approach in my particular case. My advice from lessons learnt is that if you decide to trade in such conditions, don't wait for your profit to grow much further but close it before the price reverts.

@Bisulget I don't see any controversy between being a strong economy and remaining part of the EU. It is a bit tricky when you say about the mentality of the British people because not 100% of those who can vote voted at the referendum and just a slight majority voted for the exit. UK is quite diverse and in my opinion it would be mutually beneficial for them to stay within the EU. For the EU vision to succeed we need countries that stay but not leave when the going gets tough. Because of this Brexit talk the pound started loosing its positions recently and I wonder until when this will co...

I guess it is all clear by now but I think you just go to the site of the exchange (like for example here for NYSE - https://www.nyse.com/markets/nyse/market-info), check the instrument specifications in your trading terminal or use any of the above tools and calculate the time based on your local time zone difference. What Ron explained makes perfect sense.

I think selling a profitable EA is similar to selling any good product in general. You build it and you start earning from it. This is a type of business as well. If it is good, the developer strengthens his reputation. It's just a matter of approach to the market.

That's true! I think we all prefer when the charts are dynamic, not just flat and stuck. Best if the price move in our direction! 😄 I will keep trading also during the upcoming NFP and right after the elections.

Just want to add that experience does not come with time but with actual analysis of what has happened to you. So you say that you are just trading for 1 year but for some this may mean a lot. I mean - don't judge just by the number of years 😉 Wish you good luck in finding the best trading mentors that help can you grow!

In fact you should trade only with the money that you are ready to lose, even completely. As correctly said earlier, losing is part of the game but another part is to have enough capital to sustain losses and still get a profit over the long run. In other words, don't spend your last dollars on trading hoping to multiply them.

Also if charts have open indicators this could slow down the performance. In my experience, if I run EAs or indicators that take every tick, this creates also large log files and reduces the speed significantly. As far as I know, the MT4 platform uses the processor more than the RAM, so this has certain limitations. Maybe you can try with another VPS solution if you haven't found a fix yet.

There was a comment about the micro-lot account that makes perfect sense to me for any beginner. When it comes to the timeframes, it really depends on your strategy and style. I would suggest to avoid news trading.
