@Doombinder i would advise that you make an appointment with Service Publique Finance they should be able to answer your question, it is indeed true that in Belgium there is no capital gains with the exception if the value exceeds 500k of assets such as stocks.The rules are difficult as forex is considered as speculative and i am not mistake it also depends how many trades you place daily/weekly but i am no expert its best to consult with the SPF, if you ever get to talk to them let me know as i would be curious on what they state.

maybe income tax if its your only activity but as some members of the forum stated in Belgium you don't pay capital gains tax unlike the UK. I have the appointed in 12 days will update you on what my bank manager states.
