I am not sure about that, but why do you look for one in that location? Most brokers accept clients from most parts of the world. Take a look at PaxForex, they are a great broker and I can only recommend them.

if by trading company you mean broker, then I agree with the lastbear.
You need to search for a broker not by its location, only by its reputation.

thank you for your answers, perhaps i should have been a bit more clear about why i am asking the above question...

i may be relocating to this place, cameroon, and i just thought that i should ask if anyone here has any experience with any trading organizations or perhaps you might have some comments about the country and it's culture?

i may end up trading from cameroon, in other words, and i just thought that i'd like to toss up a few questions and see what kinds of answers i get...

i am aware that i can trade from a broker other than one in cameroon, this is very basic info for traders to know.

i am a united states citizen, btw...

just putting out some questions, trusting that others might have some info for me.

i am considering volunteering with an organization in cameroon and i expect that i will want to trade while i am there.

thank you

Again, for that purpose the location of your broker is not relevant. All you need to worry about is having a stable internet connection.

lastbear,

the location of my broker is not relevant, i understand and agree.

my preference is to trade via citibank, trading via a bank, not to mention a bank that is as stable as citibank, this is very important.

my primary reason is broker stability, i believe that there is a thread here in this myfxbook community that talks about a broker that went madoff on their traders, i do not believe that this would be an issue with citibank... therefore, citibank is, in my opinion, the ONLY BROKER THAT IS ON MY RADAR.

when i present a question to a public community, such as this myfxbook community, it is my hope that i might receive answers and/or suggestions that i am not expecting...

in short, i expect that i might be in cameroon before too long, and i will be serving in various orphanages...

how much more beautiful could life be than that?

the attached pic is an actual pic of the children from the organization that i hope to serve in.

I would personally recommend for you to use your bank for banking and a broker for your trading. I have been in the business for over a decade and must say that when it comes to choice of broker, your has been the worst I have heard. It is clear that you are a newbie and seek a lot of advise and guidance which is why I would recommend that you look into a broker.

Yes, you are right. There are a few black sheep out there. I can recommend PaxForex to you. I have used them as my prime broker for a while and only had positive experiences with them. You can go ahead and research others. I can say that I trust this one and they have never pulled anything funny or strange on me and trust is very important to me.

I hope that your question 'How much more beautiful could life be than that? was a rhetorical question otherwise I think you insult the intelligence of the community. What is beautiful to you may not be the case to others. I understand you want to share your passion here, but highly doubt that an FX Community is the right place to share your humanitarian ambitions. This is a place where like minded people share their thoughts, opinions and experiences about forex trading and I feel your pic is out of place and borderline offensive, but that is only my opinion.

You look for answers you don't expect? How about you look for answers which will actually help you out, but then again you may not be a serious player in the financial world and you may view trading as a joke or part time entertainment. Then again, you will be a volunteer and not paid an actual salary. On the other hand you may be wealthy and look for a kick in life you could not otherwise get while following something you are passionate about.

I think I got way off topic and if you want to take anything away from my minor rant then under no circumstance chose a bank for your trading.

Are you going to trade a very large account? If not, I strongly urge you to trade through a broker - you will get much better prices a lot of options in trading platform and tools.

my question was about trading in cameroon. i do appreciate that you felt the need to plug that https://paxforex.com company, and i must admit that i do enjoy their flourescent green and yellow color scheme on their website, lol.. citibank is every bit a broker, no matter what james bond and the bear seem to think, and citibank is a very stable organization which means that i would not need to be concerned about the safety of my funds if i trade with citibank.

please stop with all of the paxforex sales pitches, that company looks way too lame for even an amateur trader, i would not use their demo account.

now, the topic was cameroon.

hey,
I used to trade from the US when I was living there and now, I'm trading from TOGO and here the big issue is the internet connection. First of all, it's kind of expensive; then the connection is not stable at all; and it's very slow. Another issue is the energy one. Very often, u'll be out of electricity for sometimes so, it's recommended to use a laptop with a very long life battery and even get one more (i mean battery) as back up, keeping it always fully charged. In that case, u should be using a mobile internet connection device like a gsm usb modem. All those west african countries got the same issues so, be aware.
