I agree with Igo1. Validity of the track record could be a problem. In order to eliminate this issue, you will need to hire an audit firm which will have access to your account to verify that the results are as you say. Of course, the audit firm should be hired when you start trading that account, not after you opened the account. This is done in order to eliminate the biased accounts (the audit firm guarantee that you don't have multiple accounts and do crazy investments and after a while, you show them your best account and discard the rest(losing) accounts).
But for this situation, you will need to trade your account through a firm. I don't heard about any audit firms which will monitor your performance if you trade as an individual.
And you will face a lot of paper work and research. Not to say that you need to have different certifications/licenses depending under what jurisdiction you will operate.
No easy job!

@Floriani, i guess a perfect description. Probably the most underestimated but from my point of view by far biggest challenge is the certification/license. And a huge barrier of entry as it is not really AUM dependent. The track record is heavily AUM dependent..... so here we are

Yes, a track record is very AUM dependently.
Also a very important aspect of AUM is: how much money did the manager himself allocated in respect to the total AUM. A trustworthy manager, will try to put as much of his funds as possible because, he has faith in his managing skills.

I think if somebody is already since many years in the market it might be important that he is investing his money in his fund. For a start - up I would prefer to see a stable financial environment.
But I think we are beyond the topic 'Where to find an investor', if somebody invest his money in an extremely leveraged trading account, willing to loose everything in a very short period of time, there is not much space for such thoughts.
Not saying there is anything wrong about it, it is just completely different scenario. Only the licence issues are the same :-)

Hi all,
Interesting conversation.
Honest feedback requested here.
How would I qualify based on my credentials on Linkedin- https://www.linkedin.com/in/fxoraclesk/
Been in market for years as can be seen in my media appearances; most recent:
1. https://forextv.com/market-video/us-gdp-growth-3-5/
2. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reuters/article-2784788/Gold-rises-1-pct-stocks-extend-losses-growth-fears.html
'The main focus for gold investors now is on the Federal Reserve and U.S. monetary policies,' said Daniel Hwang, managing director of trading at Alternative Investments Capital Asset Management LLC in New York. 'Gold prices are likely to range-bound in the near term as traders are now betting that the Fed will not be able to raise interest rates until Q2 or Q3 next year,' Hwang said.
More media viewable also at www.aicapfx.com or www.fxmercantile.com...
Never did my fxbook as I've always been prohibted from trading personal accounts but track record from 2011-2014 available upon request, listing every single trade.
Why demo is probably the first question? Well I worked for OANDA and wasn't allowed to trade live as I was more in Business Management - Client Life-cycle Flows.
A bit new to this myfxbook but seems like a great forum for traders on both retail and institutional levels.

Well i am not in the position to value Your qualification. But given You academic background and presence in the media You might find it easy to join an established fund. If the right door opens you will need no further arguments couple of years later.
Just for my personal interest what are 'client life-cycle flows'?

Hi Daniel,
I think you shouldn't have any problems to get investors with that portfolio. It would be nice to learn from you and connect with you.

Good to know traders in this forum are also looking at risk: reward ratios, max drawdown percentages, and credible money managers.

Hi,
I'm currently unemployed and trading daily with my own money which is not a lot. I can make 2-5% profit on a monthly average. I'm not yet ready to get any investor investing on me but in the future that would be good step further.
Or is there anyone who has forex managed account site and is looking for new forex traders? I could start with small real account or demo account to prove my skills. At first I would like to get connected with people who has their own forex business or is connected with managed account business.
But if anyone has some info to give, I'll be pleased. And for those who are going to write negative things like 'you cant trade like that' - save to yourself, I've heard it already and I know I can trade like that.
Have a good day
First of all you need to have good system to sell

Here is an advice to you: You have to connect your trading account to many different resources (such as this one and others with a good rating), also you can use social networks to post the screenshots of your trades to the news feed. And do not forget about partners - they can also be useful in a finding of investors. But first of all you have to create a good trading statement to partners and investors will be interesting in a collaborating with you.
Wish you a good luck) and sorry for mistakes in text.
Hope, it will help you.

Previous post is about looking for investors - not about selling signals. I don't know, maybe partners can help you to sell your signals)))😄
