As an important indication of the health of the Canadian economy, The Monthly Wholesale Trade Survey provides estimates of monthly sales for wholesale merchants in Canada, providing information on the performance of the wholesale trade sector. Furthermore, the data is used by the business community to analyze market performance.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the CAD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the CAD.
