Gross fixed capital formation (25%, one of the highest rates among EU nations) and government expenditure is the next most important components (20%). Exports of products and services account for 84% of GDP, while imports account for 81%, resulting in a contribution of 3% to total GDP.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

German Industrial Production Declines In March
Germany's industrial production declined for the first time in three months in March driven by the decreases in consumer and intermediate goods output, official data revealed Wednesday. Industrial production declined 0.4 percent on a monthly basis, in contrast to the 1.7 percent increase in February, Destatis reported.
