Germany Wholesale Prices MoM
The Wholesale Prices Index monitors the evolution of the prices of products sold by whole merchants in Germany to the level that such sales are included in the definition of wholesale, such as contracts executed with resellers, processors, or other large purchasers of commodities in large quantities. This can relate to things that are manufactured in the country or to products that are imported into the country. Direct sales from producers to retailers or to final customers are excluded from the calculation.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the EUR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the EUR.

Eurozone Private Sector Logs Fastest Growth In A Year
Eurozone private sector posted the fastest growth in a year in May as strong demand boosted production and hiring amid cooling inflation, the final Purchasing Managers' survey data compiled by S&P Global showed on Wednesday. The HCOB composite output index posted 52.2 in May, up from 51.7 in the previous month. The flash reading was 52.3.

German Unemployment Rises More Than Forecast
Germany's unemployment increased more than expected in May as the economic recovery was not sufficient to bring a marked improvement in the labor market. The increase in the number of people out of work more than doubled to 25,000 in May, data from the Federal Labor Agency showed Tuesday. This follows an increase of 11,000 in the previous month, which was revised up from 10,000.

UEFA European Football Championship Unlikely To Give Major Boost To German Retail - Ifo
Only supermarkets, beverage retailers and specialized sports goods stores in Germany are likely to register any significant growth in sales as the country hosts the UEFA Euro 2024 football tournament that kicks off in the middle of the month, the ifo institute said Monday. The ifo business confidence indicator for the retail industry rose to -13.3 points in May from -14.5 points in April.
