Pakistan Interest Rate Decision
Decisions on interest rates are made by the State Bank of Pakistan, which is the country's central bank. After being replaced by a new official interest rate, the SBP Policy rate, on the 23rd of May, 2015, the discount ceiling rate ceased to exist.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the PKR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the PKR.
