South Africa's trade deficits with China, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Thailand, France, Nigeria, Italy, and Brazil, while its trade surpluses with Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Belgium, and the Netherlands were the highest in 2017.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the ZAR while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the ZAR.
