Approximately 65% of Thailand's GDP is derived from exports, indicating that it is an export-driven economy. The country's primary exports are manufactured products (86% of total shipments), with electronics accounting for 14% of total shipments, vehicles accounting for 13%, machinery and equipment accounting for 7.5%, and foodstuffs accounting for 7.5%. 8% of all exports are comprised of agricultural products, mostly rice and rubber. China (12%), Japan (10%), the United States (10%), and the European Union (9.5%). Malaysia, Australia, and Singapore are among other trading partners.

A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the THB while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the THB.
