United Kingdom Public Sector Net Borrowing
In the United Kingdom, public sector net borrowing excluding public sector banks (PSNB ex) is defined as the difference between money received (current receipts) and total spending (current expenditure + net investment (capital expenditures fewer capital receipts), excluding public sector banks.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the GBP while a lower than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the GBP.

UK Mortgage Approvals At 18-Month High
UK mortgage approvals increased to a one-and-a-half year high in March as the impact of higher interest rates waned, data published by the Bank of England showed on Tuesday. Net mortgage approvals for house purchases increased to 61,300 in March from 60,500 in February. This was the highest since September 2022 and also above the expected level of 61,000.
