United States 10-Year Note Auction
In most cases, a government bond is issued by a national government and is denominated in the currency of the country. Sovereign bonds are bonds that get issued by national governments in foreign currencies. It is the expectation of inflation and the possibility of debt repayment that determines the yield required by investors to lend funds to governments.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the USD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the USD.

U.S. Consumer Sentiment Dips More Than Previously Estimated In April
Revised data released by the University of Michigan on Friday showed consumer sentiment in the U.S. deteriorated by more than previously estimated in the month of April. The University of Michigan said its consumer sentiment index for April was downwardly revised to 77.2 from a preliminary reading of 77.9.

Closely watched readings on inflation released by the Commerce Department on Friday showed consumer prices in the U.S. increased in line with economist estimates in the month of March.
