United States 30-Year Bond Auction
The 30 Year Bond auction displays the government's 30 Year Bond. Treasury Bonds issued by the United States have maturities ranging from 10 to 30 years. Governments issue treasuries to borrow money to pay the difference between what they get in taxes and what they spend on debt refinancing and/or capital raising. The rate on a Treasury Bond indicates the rate of return an investor will get if he or she holds the bond for the term of the bond.
A higher than expected figure should be seen as negative (bearish) for the USD while a lower than expected figure should be seen as positive (bullish) for the USD.

U.S. Service Sector Activity Contracts For First Time Since December 2022
After growing for fifteen consecutive months, U.S. service sector activity unexpectedly contracted in the month of April, according to a report released by the Institute for Supply Management on Friday. The ISM said its services PMI dipped to 49.4 in April from 51.4 in March, with a reading below 50 indicating contraction. Economists had expected the index to inch up to 52.0.

The Labor Department said non-farm payroll employment climbed by 175,000 jobs in April after surging by an upwardly revised 315,000 jobs in March.
