Hi,
anybody using AWS for their trading?
It's free for a year, has a datacenter in London.
And best: you are in control and can restart the instance, if the rdp connection doesn't work anymore (as I had with 4xsolutions).
I wonder, why it's not on the list of VPS.

Hi, I use AWS EC2 and have had no problems. I run 2 instances of MT4 with 15 charts. It's a great basic VPS for a couple of MT4's, if you are intending to use a lot of platforms running a lot of EA's then it will struggle.

There are a bunch of low size servers free for 12 month.
It's not a dedicated trading platform, but why should it be?

That's why I was wondering why it's not on the list.
Azure from Microsoft same issue.

I am using it for years. Even when you switch to paid mode after first year it is cheap and reliable.
IMHO it is much better than metaquotes VPS built in mt4 in all terms.

Tried it. Closed it. Incredibly slow. Ages to log in via RDC. Just hangs. Free. Get what you pay for.
Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.

In which setup do you use it 2 cores 2GB or just the plain 1 core 1GB?

nothing good comes free guys why don't you use fxvm i recommend there services to any fx trader

Hi @Wamski I don't use fxvm because AWS works for me and it's free so I save $19 every month. Maybe other traders would find it useful to have a free VPS, and they can decide if it is good enough.

the plain one running just 2 mt4

Even though there is nothing like free lunch the EC2 is free and good.

FXVM is very overpriced
1. There is nothing like forex VPS. Normal VPS with Windows is fine. Everyone should be capable to install mt4.
2. $274 per month for weak dedicated server? I can get much more powerful dedicated server for 60 bucks.

Big companies are hosting there, so why shouldn't we.
The smaller ones are more expensive, because they can't scale there costs.
I doubt they are better.

It's a lot to find there, from artificial intelligence to voice services.
Head for EC2 and launch a windows vps, that has the "free tier eligible" tag.
I recommend to select a datacenter near your broker.
