Demo trading is a great way for beginners, or I should say even for experienced traders, to test their strategies without the risk and fear of losing any money. Newbies in trading should always start with demo trading, and not live trading, do demo practice first and then gradually start live with little amounts.
Yes, demo trading is very important. It is more collaborative for most beginner traders. Demo platforms help a lot in developing strategies.

Demo trading is used properly, it will help the trader to prepare to make money in the real trading account, but usually in demo trading start with huge capital, let say 5000 USD, but in real trading account only use small money less than 500$, if trader serious in demo account I think they can start with $100 to learn how to manage the money in uncertainty market condition.

A demo account helps the newvie to get a glimpse of what goes on in the market, how trades are placed, what all indicators can be used to dig out trade ideas, what margin is required to place trades, how leverages function, and what not.. Basically a demo account gives the trailer of trading.
The more your practice, the more you learn.

Generally, demo account must be with the broker with whom you will be start your live trades as this will help you to understand their platform. But now a days even experienced traders practice on demo account just to tune themselves with current trends.

The demo account main purpose is for beginner traders to experience live trading by using the demo account and trade without risk.

The demo helps in build strategy and skills; no real capital and emotions are involved in it.

according to my trading experience i think 5-6  is really appropriate time for practicing in a demo account but as a beginner, its really difficult to keep patience , for that reason they lost interest after passing sometimes.

Purpose of demo is to practice. But not just random practice. With specific strategy and plans, one should practice on demo. Otherwise demo trading doesn't give any benefits.

@Akasuki Yes You are absolutely right. Unfortunately most people use demo without any plan and strategy. Out of merely assumption they open trade. They do not have any clue why they are opening a trade.

Yes, even practice requires correct direction. If you are practicing on the demo account without any strategy its of no use.
The more your practice, the more you learn.
