Ikon Group - DukasCopy

Good morning.
As all of you know, Alpari Uk is more or less failed.
I considered this broker good.
In the meantime in which my deposit on Alpari UK will be give me back I need to find an alternative good broker.
More or less 99% of my trades are in intraday and generically my positions are closed in 1 hour.
I trade manually and secondly I code EA.
So I need a broker that has an avarage spread on EurUsd, GbpUsd, UsdJpy below 1.5 pips for all the 3 pairs.
I'm taking in consideration Ikon Group and DukasCopy. Do you have some experiences with these brokers ?
I prefer a not pure ECN broker (I dunno commission).
P.s. I live in Italy so I should use dukascopu europe.

Dukascopy has a better reputation. Why not diversify? Fxpig, icmarkets and tickmil(formerly armadamarkets) are good brokers. I am affiliated with icmarkets and tickmill as an Introducing broker and i use fxpig for PAMM. You could check my website at savantfx.com if you are interested in discount in commission.

Dukascopy is reliable broker. But has few disadvantages.
Platforms terribly suck. After hlaf a year of using it i still couldnt figure out what is where. Also it freezes daily and requires to clear java catches daily. To log in you have to enter the pin everytime opening platform.
It will take you abou 2 minits everyday to log into platform.
Leverage is reduced to 50 percent during weekend.
So you u Are trading with 200 leverage. And boom suddenly you need twice as money to hold the same position.
Get investors and get paid 15 percent of theyr profits. More on my website.

Hi, like you i live in Italy, and i'm a satisfied Dukascopy client.
No problem with them.

The freezing problem would be a dealbreaker for me. Also, I HATE waiting on anything for the net :)

Almost all brokers have some limitations and you still need to talk with the individual brokers to see if they are right for you. However, I personally like FXDD a lot better and would use them before Dukascopy. But you really should talk directly with the broker that you are thinking of doing business with to make sure they fit 'your' trading style..
There is a page on MyFXBook here that compares the spreads of a lot of brokers.

Maybe you could save some time by looking at that first. When you find the ones that interest you, call them and see what they have to say..

Thank you guys.
At the end I have choosen for a first evaluation these 2 brokers:
Activetrades
IkonGroup
Both seem very good and have a medium spread very very good and most at all the spread seems not so influenced during the news

I cannot recommend ICMarkets. They quote more than 1000 pips spread at the SNB presented their gift to the world.
I was in the right direction (GBP/CHF short), but got an nasty stopout with lots slippage. Realtime spread comparison showed that other brokers quote much better spreads (<<50 pips).
BTW: ICMarkets dont care about my mails anymore after my issue with them :)
After a lot of research i like to go to ActivTrades soon. They do a lot of research for you and warned all their clients in 2014 about the risk with CHF and reduced the leverage to a minimum with this pair. Sounds to me a reasonable broker.

IkonGroup UK seems to have a number of sites like ikonfinance.com , ikonmarkets.com, ikonfx.com

As an institutional trade, what I care the most when trading is how deep the liquidity of a broker is and how safe my fund is. That's why I decided to trade with Saxobank. They also offer stock and option platform which is suitable for my trading style. I think you should consider Saxobank as a good choice. Good luck !

I tested Ikon demo for 1 month and I find it very very good.
The spread is really low, below 1 pip (I HAVE NOT THE ECN ACCOUNT !!!!)
I'm in Live by 1 week and I can confirm that the spread is really good.
Until now I have only positive datas.

Yes you say tre truth. I have also considerd if the broker is regulated, in my case FCA, and the liquidity of the of the broker self.
Now I trade with ActivTrades and Ikon.

I suggest you only trade with brokers listed in leaprate.com website.

duckascopy have good promotion ,but their website make me dizzy every time i visit, anybody agree?
