Well at some point you need to reach the decision stay in your day job with all the positive and negative or leave and trade for living.
It depends on your approach to life. I could say it was the best decision I have ever made.
Oh, you're absolutely right. I've been thinking about it for a while now, but I lack the courage and confidence to make that final step. I feel like I should be a bit more consistent in my making profits while trading before I do that, even though I can tell I am improving.

To become independent trader, to trade as professional and not as hobby. After it is done, I can think about some gains for living. I suppose it is better to concentrate on big goals stage by stage instead of climbing to the very top of sky-castle and then fall death after an unlucky trade :D

I believe the greatest reward for all this hard work will be doing it full time and dropping my day job. I am a chef, and it is rewarding and well paid, but I spend a lot of time at the kitchen and not at home with my children. Of course, I would love more extra cash for fun things like hobbies and music, and enough to save to invest for the kids, but if all I could get was a job I could do from home, I would be most satisfied .
Everything in the market is like a fart, if you have to force it, it is probably shit

You know, if you start trading professionally you'll probably be spending a lot of time in front of the charts too. Work is work, regardless of where you're doing it.

Clearly, you don't have kids and/or you don't know what it is like to work in a kitchen.
As I said, it would yield much more time with my kids and wife. Do I need to explain how, or can you figure it out on your own

After going through the threat of redundancy and dodging that bullet last year, I decided to try a couple of other ventures that failed but led me to Forex trading. I've been practicing and learning as much as I can and am about to go live.
What do I want out of it.... To be able to replace what I am earning now with taking only 50% of the weekly profits. When I can do this and having a stable return, then I will look at replacing my day job and learn to live life and not work it!
