How come he's been placing 3-5 trades a day then closing them within hours for basically break even?

I would guess that the trend was not going the way he wanted... EUR/USD has been in a kind of consolidation for the last couple of days.
So even if it seems a "break even" for you, he is still closing positions with a tiny profit. But if you check Wassel's account, he is still making 10k ! I know it is nothing compared to his deposiit but still I would love to have such "break even" :)

I've been wondering the same. No real activity since Nov 8.
But may be these months are slower than rest of the year (?)

Because in several days his closing of 46.4 pips with .03 lots (our amount of risk) is about $12.80 including broker fees and for his account trading 6 lots at a time equates to $2,652.42. If you want to trade 6 lots at a time, you could follow his sig service I suppose.

The trades opened in my account on 11 Nov were at 0.25 lot per $5000. Trades opened on 12 Nov were at 0.275 lot per $5000.

Because he's scalping for pips. Scalping accounts SHOULD NOT be copied, you will not get the same results as the provider due to latency issues, spread, and a number of other reasons.
Also, if you notice the DD% on this account has now grown to over 50% DD which is also an indication of poor risk management and relaxed money management. This is a high risk situation where you will most likely suffer from a blown account.
If it looks too good to be true, it's probably a scam! Let the buyer beware.

Thanks for all the replies guys!! I'm not worried just wondering if he's done this in the past? I wouldn't say it's finding direction as he's done it all week consistently. with buy and sell orders. Is this a strategy change or has he done this before?
Personally I like his strategy even tho I've been in 30% DD at one point. I'm up over 65% in less than 3 months!!

You don’t even know how his system works, and you don’t know what he does when DD is over 50% either.
What I want to tell you is Just try it for three months. Then you will find out why he makes so much profit.
Actually it is easy to judge and criticize when you see all the history data but it is not easy to see the real performance behind numbers

From what I can see on the history, the trades, that have made the 15% gain, has been before the 8th of November ... so it seems you just missed it by registering on the 8th ;)
Just wait and see for the next profitable trades.

Head over to https://www.signalstart.com/analysis/frero/52591. If your profit % is less than Frero, you're taking less risk than him and it's not necessarily a bad thing if you can't handle drawdown. If higher than Frero, you're taking more risk. Don't take more risk than the signal provider otherwise his strategy won't work for you as you might be stopped by lack of margin.

Subscribed since 24th October ~11% gain. Check his closed trades, you'll see from where is the gain this month.
And your account looks like is a poor copy of frero trades.

On Nov 5, Wassel closed 35 trades. On Nov 8, he closed 28 trades, some of which were opened in October, some as late as Nov 7. In any case, they were all opened before you subscribed on Nov 8. That explains why your return is less than the 15% you referenced. My return so far in November has also been around 15%; it's hard for me to calculate exactly, because I changed the account I was using when I switched from following the signal to joining the FX Choice MAM.

Actually I DO understand what the account is doing, I reviewed the account history, and my 30+ years of experience as a PROFESSIONAL QUANT gives me the experience and understand that you do not have. The adults are talking here.
ANYONE running a live account that has +50% DD is not using effective risk management.
Also, considering you are responding on have only a couple of posts to your account, and since you are so quick to defend the account from anyone who questions it, I suppose the real question is, why are YOU so worried about it.
This is a HIGH RISK scenario and should be avoided due to the risk of blowing the account. Scalping accounts SHOULD NEVER be copied due to LATENCY issues over the net. If you actually knew what I was referring to, you wouldn't have been so quick to try and defend it.

No. It doesn't.
A quick review of the trading history CLEARLY shows the account is NOT a system capable of effective dynamic adaptation to market conditions. The fact that there is a greater than 50% DD shows this to be an absolute FACT.
This account has over 50% DD and is using High Risk trading + scalping.
This is not a safe investing strategy and is absolutely not adapting to the markets as you imply.

This is a HIGH RISK account that is absolutely NOT using effective money management, nor is it using effective risk management.
The account is regularly allowing BAD TRADES to run hundreds of pips in to the negative.
This shows a high risk trading system with no effective money management and a refusing to accept the losses.
NO TP, NO SL, No actual risk management.
Anyone who allows their trades to go hundreds of pips into the negative is NOT protecting their investment capital, and anyone who subscribes to that kind of signal is putting their investment capital at risk.
Allowing a trade to go -200 pips against the account, while closing out good trades with +5 pips is NOT low risk trading system.
-200 : + 5 pips = 40 risk to 1 reward
40:1 ? That's beyond absurd.
