Treasury cash realizations are defined as the amount of cash that is received by and paid out of the Treasury's bank accounts in connection with transactions involving general budget institutions in Turkey. In the calculation of the Cash Balance, the sum of taxes, non-tax revenues, privatization, and funds income is subtracted from the expenses (both interest and non-interest expenditures).

Turkish Central Bank Cuts Key Rates Sharply For Second Time
Turkey's central bank slashed its key interest rates for the second straight meeting on Thursday citing slowdown in the underlying trend of inflation. The Monetary Policy Committee of the Republic of Turkey decided to reduce the policy rate to 40.5 percent from 43.0 percent. Previously, the bank had reduced the rate by 300 basis points in July.

Turkey Unexpectedly Lifts Rate By 350 Bps
The Turkish central bank raised its key interest rate in a surprise move on Thursday, reversing the sharp easing cycle that began last December, and also expressed preparedness to keep the policy tight. Turkey's central bank lowered its benchmark rate for the third straight time on Thursday as the underlying trend of inflation softened. The Monetary Policy Committee, headed by Yasar Fatih Karahan, decided to reduce the policy rate to 42.5 percent from 45.0 percent, as widely expected. The bank had reduced the rate by 250 basis points each in December and January.
