Thank you for your encouragement - I do use a thing called stops and have also applied a higher time-frame filter. I tried looking up your system/s and results however could not find anything that I could return the compliment with.

Come on... Any strategy result with less than 100 trades and with shorter than 6 months track record has practically no statistical significance.

It is one of the 'oldest tricks in books'...

One simply turns off MyFxBook publisher on MT4 and turns back on ONLY when out of a floating DD.

It means that MyFxBook will not be able to record floating DDs while being disconnected, so it is like 'never happened'.

I'm not going to say you're wrong, but it's not really relevant to this thread - the author of this thread listed quite specific criteria for posting here. If you think his criteria are too low, take it up with him.

And I don't think you can put a fixed number on the amount of trades needed to give a strategy relevance .... it depends on the trade frequency. 50 trades with an average trade length of 3 days is not the same as 50 trades with an average trade length of 3 minutes.

lol, interesting theory ... I guess that would work in the short term, but a quick review of the trade history would show that up? I dunno. In the long term obviously it wouldn't make a difference.

But no, I didn't do that. The two systems I posted are one strategy, one account is a continuation of the other ... in March I switched to MT4 and started fresh. So my real results from the last 8 months are the two accounts combined: 21% gain with 2.4% max DD.
