Why would it be NORMAL for the DD to be higher then profit? It simply means you are LOSING more then you are winning. That is all that means. Time has nothing to do with that.

When you have a high DD, but you are currently in the green, it means that your account has had very volatile movements. For example, you lose 20% in one trade, then you make 40%, then you lose 30%, then you make 35%, and so on. it means overleveraged, hence the big swings in your account balance.

1. I've never said to be a good trader (or you can quote one on my post where i say something similar
2. If I have a great system that make 4% month with a max DD of 20% (I can assure that this systems is GREAT!) and I start the account in the bad period of the system, I could reach in the first month a DD of 20% and for 5 month my DD will be higher that total profit... But it's too difficult to understand by a God trader like you because you make 20% per day and you don't care about DD

Yes, this is the basic of trading, but Cholipop makes 20% in a day without losing anything. Don't worry. He is a super dupa trader. He writes in this forum because he is boring.

You can be "OVER-LEVERAGE" without ever losing. What happens is most of these people who have high dd% and lower returns are pretty bias in their trading. It is evident in their trade history. They trade for 20 pips profit, but let runners hold for 500 pips.

Looks like all the trash talkers on this thread have either margin called, or have a huge floating loss..... Amazing how so many of you guys talk about how easy it is to do something, but can't seem to do it themselves.

I see. So you have to be lucky and over-leveraged huh? Well although that is one way about going after it, the reality is if you have a system which is very accurate then you would stupid to not use rather high leverage.
