My first account I survived with a gain, but learnt lots of valuable lessons. This trading account I will stick to strict trading rules:

1. Maximum 1 x Risk - This will be most of the time scaled in a third or quarter size position.
2. All trades will have a maximum stop loss of 100 pip
3. 5% maximum drawndown

I like your performance from the first account, but you are right, that in some point of loss trade is better to have SL, I am just really not able to understand risk value, can you explain it, please? Let's say on 1000$ account. Thank you and I wish you good luck in markets. R

Hi Robert.

1 x Risk is that for $1000 you will only trade 1 Micro Lot. Since you can only trade minimum 1 micro lot then you can't scale into position with $1000 as every trade will be full sized 1x Risk.

I like to open initial position and open again another position lower if needed but now only up to maximum 1 x full trade. To do this with Micro lot you would need $3000.

My performance on first account was good up until I lost a lot due to too much leverage and not cut loss sooner. I am at least happy I closed my trade and maintain and overall gain on the account.

Going to remove 100 pip stop loss rule for now. I am going to adjust my streategy and be more patient for better entries and stick to max 1x Risk and 5% draw down and see how it goes.
