Hello
I will tell you my opinion what to do if we got loss :)
When the trend changing, depending on my trading style we got loss. A few month ago I made test. I tried to turn over my position to other direction from the loss point. You can check my history and see this action:
1. EURGBP. I got opened long position ( 04.04.11 10:18 EURGBP Buy 0.50 0.88170). The stop loss was on 0.8789. In the moment of stop loss I turned over position to SELL (pending order) - 04.05.11 09:14 find this order on my history.
2. GBPUSD. Short position (03.30.11 04:44 GBPUSD Sell 0.30 1.59820 ). The stop was on 1.6045. In the moment of stop loss I turned over position to BUY (pending order) - 03.30.11 09:31 find this order on my history.
3. AUDUSD. I made the same yesterday.
Also as an example you can see my last loses. We can see that I got loss on USDCHF on 04.04.11 10:56. I got loss there, but I did not turned over my position, just because I forget to do it :))) but if I did it, then I would have to get good profit. Check it on history.
So, sometimes it would be better to turn your positions over when you got loss.

Thanks again for your insight Victor.
In the case above, if the price hit support and the MACD still showing uptrend, Stochastic crossing 30 from below, but hasn't fulfilled the Dow Theory. Will you continue to trade back to old trend (uptrend)?

Account Management:
First, I want to clarify the situation regarding the management of accounts. I'm just a trader, and my challenge to trade. But of course I do not trade only with own money and I have a third-party investors' money. I do not like to engage in routine related to contracts, negotiations, agreements and involvement of investors. I have several friends who are doing it.
But I see around me appeared a lot of investors, who also would like to participate in investments. This is applies not only of this forum, but also from other sources.
I spoke on this subject with my friends and we came to the conclusion that it is possible to work with small investors.
Trade at the account will be my trader, my job to monitor the trade and control the entire process.
First we would like to collect complete information about investors.
All who wish to participate in the trade, it is necessary to answer these questions and send the e-mail with subject "Invest to VB": [email protected]
Questions:
1. How much you want invest for start?
2. Which broker you preffer?
3. What is your total estimated investment deposit?
4. You prefer to work directly with a broker or through a common fund of all customers (via an offshore bank)?
So, I gave you all information about Account Managemet. You can contact to email that I write above.
Hope no one will write about Account Management here or to my PM :)
I personally don't have desire to distract on attraction of money. Let special people do it. I only want to trade.

Actually, I described you my algorithm of trading. You think I was not interested in EA? :) no one can program clear EA.
I am not trading like a robot using clear strategy rules. I just listening the market, comparing trading instruments with each other and etc.
So, I can not answer you clear on each your question.
Will you continue to trade back to old trend (uptrend)?
Yes, I will continue to trade back if the price rises above the last peak.

I'm not trying to program an EA, because I don't like automated trading either.
That's why I want to learn how do you react to. That's all.

Team collecting information from investors. For one day there was about 20 email. Estimation starting amount 100.000 USD. Not bad for one day :)
For now, my team looking for a good broker who can give good service for Account Managers. It`s not easy to find good broker with good PAMM service. Brokers like Alpari, Tudawolfx and etc are good for account up to 500.000 USD. But if you have more then 1KK, then the trading becomes madness (requotes and etc.).
That`s why we trade Dukascopy and dbFX. But these brokers are not good for small investors. We have a few investors, but those have invested a lot of money per one investor.
In this case it really better to collect small deposits to one fund (offshore bank) and transfer this money as one account to the Dukascopy.
I`m not sure this way. This is opinion of my team. For me it`s better to work directly with broker, but I see it may have some difficulties.
Anyway for a few days we collecting information from investors, and after that we together with you will select the right choice.
Main task for me is to collect starting deposit from 250.000 USD. In this case I will start trading.
Also some information from team about conditions: profit sharing 60% for investors, 40% for managers.
I take myself about 20% from profit. Another 10% goes to the team and 10% goes to charity (this is my condition).

Victor.
Check Oanda, they have excellent conditions for PAMM trading, huge liquidity and superior reputation.
As I know, they are US-broker. Need to check...
About US investors. As I know, they can not transfer money to non-US brokers. Am I right?

So, can you tell a little about currency selection process in your trading strategy?
1. Which pairs do you trade?
2. Why exaclty these pairs?
3. Do you use any kind of fundamentals?
4. Which sources do you read everyday before trading?
5. Do you plan some kind of mentoring?)
Thank you.

1. Every pair where I see signal.
2. ---
3. I look at the time of the news. If there is strogn news like Non-farm payroll or FOMC, I try to trade carefully.
4. No sources. Actually sometimes I write topics for some sources :)
5. Maybe.

I see that you sometimes move SL above the spread when position is in profit, what distance (in pips) are you using for this "tighten up"?

And are you using any platform notofication when signal appears, or you just keep watching all pairs in real time by your self?? Thanks :)

First, thanks for sharing. Great results!!
Now some questions:
Once on a good trade how do you manage it?
I see you are trading 0.5 lots and take a little profit with 0.3 and let the other 0.2 run, raising SL to break even.
How do you set your goal for profits? How do you say, ok, this is good enough for me and I am out with the profit? Where is your first target, and how do you monitor the remaining of the trade?
Are you looking at the trend?
Thanks again for sharing

I do not use "tighten up". Manualy.
I do not use platform notification. Watching real-time myself.

As I wrote before, trend consists of two components.
1. Impuse (a long movement for a short time.)
2. Correction (a small movement for a long time.)
So, I try to close when impulse finish. Some positions leave at the market in case if the overall trend will continue to move.

ok. think I understand what you are saying. You are trading one "wave" at a time.
I am amazed on the dedication this method requires. How do you manage to sleep? lol
Your average trade according to the stats on this page is 3 days and
you are monitoring for new trades more than 14hours a day
I hope you are taking shift with your team to monitor all this, or you are going to grow roots under your desk. Just joking.
Now i realize that if you want this impressive results you have to work really hard for them. Well, not hard work, but you have to be 100% commited to tracking your strategy every 2 hours I guess.
Congratullations and lots of respect to you!!

Actually you are right about monitoring by the team. I not controlling the market every day, but I try to be concentrated if I see trading moments.
Most of the time I use mobile trading.
It`s really not hard work, but only if you trading using clear rules for signals and money management.
