Commercial Metals Q3 Adj. EPS Meets Estimates, Revenues Top
(RTTNews) - Commercial Metals Co. (CMC) on Thursday reported that net earnings for the third quarter declined to $119.44 million or $1.02 per share from $233.97 million or $1.98 per share in the prior-year quarter.
Net sales for the quarter decreased to $2.08 billion from $2.34 billion in the same quarter last year.
On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.02 per share on revenues of $2.02 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
On Wednesday, the board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of $0.18 per share of CMC common stock, payable on July 10, 2024 to stockholders of record on July 1, 2024.
Looking ahead, the company said it expects consolidated financial results in the fiscal fourth quarter to be consistent with third quarter levels.
