Easier Said than Done DrVodka. If I wanted to skip the news I'd have to skip it everyday, but I'm working on it! I want to ride the trend not keep getting stopped out every other day because of news!

So who's making the money? Those in the know, the bankers, the economists etc! Moving Averages & Cross Overs mean nothing! Fibonacci means nothing! Technical Analysis means Nothing! All these do is increase your chances of winning until the next big story breaks! Then it's gambling, hoping you're on the right side! All the hours spent at your computer analysing charts, putting in trend lines, moving averages, Fibonacci etc come down to a couple of seconds! Then the market moves sideways until the next bit of news and so on.........

'Follow the Trend' The Trend is your Friend' Yep, Alright until some News Breaks! Just End up Trading the News All the Time, Everyday and that's what makes this game more like gambling!

THEY CAN SEE YOUR MARGIN!Just spoke to Trading Desk regarding a Long open position I have in GBPJPY because I felt I was close to being stopped out. I don't use a Stop Loss, basically because I don't trust them. I've learnt from experience that no sooner do you get stopped out and the trade starts to resume in the trend you traded at. I explained to the trader that I felt that once I was stopped out the price would start to resume in an upward trend. Having given it some thought I think this is a good example of what to do when your back is against the wall and you've got nothing to lose. I posted this earlier, but I'll post it again. One more bit of advice - not only trade with demos just for a year but trade with demos until you're winning and are profitable - CONSISTENTLY!!!!!!!!! You can always enter competitions which will add the pressure of live trading. It will also give you time to decide if it's what you really want to do.I'm at that stage of deciding, I'm disillusioned with the market at the moment because as I said above I believe it to be manipulated and rigged on a daily basis by bankers in the know. My advice to anybody starting out in trading would be to start with a demo account, learn as much as possible and to give it at least a year before trading with real money. I've been trading with demos for a year now and I always open my demo account with £100 because in reality I couldn't afford to trade more. Not only that shop around, try demos with different brokers because with some you'll get slippage with others it will be harder to open or close a trade. Some brokers don't provide a full history with their charts. Some brokers aren't even regulated. .....but m...
