Full-time trader needs ideas to expand business

Hi Keltnermaster! You have good ideas. I've seen number of web-sites/blogs etc. but it would be encouraging to personally know someone who runs a paid service, and also get a rough figure of earning from that service...Do you know anyone?I am currently not so active in trading, because I have a new consulting business set-up (which does technology consulting), and I am negotiating new deals currently, and also been offered a full-time job...I know I can't let trading-business go away though. I have watched markets daily for 10 years or so...At least I'll trade long-term positions a...

Mentoring would interest me, but I think it is hard to find local customers here (in Finland).I would have to offer my mentoring online, and I guess there is already quite mature industry to attract customers, e.g. forex-brokers offer mentoring services also...I have followed ads from Van Tharp's trading coaching / courses, and I agree mostly what he's teaching. I don't have resources for making similar business as he though...I was thinking starting smaller, like paid newsletters, trading signals etc....it would have to include something that would differentiate it from other serv...

Hi! I have been doing full-time trading for my own money for 2+ years now. I have been able to generate enough profit to maintain my living standard but not grow my equity in the long-run. I am seeking for other opportunities outside trading currently, but I'd also like to consider business ideas that wouldeither leverage my trading skills or somehow give me competitive edge because of my experience in investing/trading.There seems to be many people here that offer managed-accounts for investors...so too few potential investors and too many money managers I guess. Besides my performance of...
Forex-blogging or selling out your trades?

Hi! I've been trading FX full-time for 2+ years now, and I am happy to trade my own money, without trying sellmanaged account services. I've been profitable enough to keep my living standard, but there is no real growth in my account, since living expenses eat mostof it. I was considering to start a forex-blog and then get some extra money from ad-sales if the blog is a success...but then I had the idea of 'selling out' my trades to paying customers (monthly fee could be initially very low, but if my published trades profit exceeds some threshold the fee would go up, and it wou...
Where are good FX Managers?

Hi! Of course technology can not totally prevent scams, but fx-platforms offer a method, so that you don't have to send money to the manager at all, just give them access to trade your account, so that ONLY YOU can withdraw the money any time you want.I'm using Oanda as a platform, and they have a "FX manager" service, where a money manager can trade pooled FX accounts. Oanda also keeps track of the deposits/withdraws of each investor/client and also automatically takes the performance fee for the manager whenever profit is made (high watermark principle applies). Since I am ...

I have managed my own money only, but have considered also managing others. I have made decent returns, but they don't stand out from the masses, since 2009 was a very good investment year (just buy&hold anything). My target is to make 20-25% annual gain, and last year I made around 45%...In 2008 I lost something like 5% (I was only learning to trade FX then) and before 2008 I did not trade FX, only stocks (already since dot-com bubble). My equity is around 100k in Euros. Here are some reasons why I have not made it to money management yet:-I don't have contacts in the industry,...
