I was doing the same. I got killed on Jan 3 with Yen Flash Crash not because of my manual trades but because of EA trades.
Depending upon his strategy, he could achieve this!
I will also make a comeback: $50,000 to $13,000,000 and beyond!

I too think this is not impossible and if you have a good strategy everybody could do it theoretically.. Just take your avg strategy and size up the positions.. DD is growing too ofc but who cares afterwards? I did some 600-36k account last year in just 2 weeks.. The only problem you get is that you overtrade at some point if its not automated. I risked way too much on NFP and lost all (lucky me I withdrew 10k before..). 100-100k in 3 months means your capital x10 every month - very doable if you ask me. I´m doing a tradingchallenge in 2019 too, some high returns but focusing on low DD

That is the point. To make such insane profit each month you have to insanely risk each month.

like I said - it´s possible for sure and you have a great advantage if it´s an ea. If you trade that manually it´s possible too but the psychological factor is the critical one here. I saw an account growing x14 in like 30mins - everything is possible in Forex

Well I know for sure it is possible because I seen it 200 euro to 10k in 3 months but that was trading the oil bull market 2016 ,I think it is possible with any distressed asset although I think it may be harder with FX unless you get un pegging or something drastic ,what they did was kept doubling up.They even gave me 5k for showing them how to trade it.Some stocks are doing really well since 3rd jan and eur/usd had a nice ride from 1280.

1.28 million dollar account is traded on personal computer yes, but through a VPS, much safer I don't have to worry about losing internet so my algos are always running to manage my risk, worth it when trading much higher amount of money. I apologize for lack of trading the past month--- I moved to dubai and am just getting settled in, will resume trading regularly in february, internet here sucks so will have to get another vps to trade on.

Technically it is possible but with proper risk management it will take decades to get from $200 account to $100k . Without proper risk management the $200 will probably be blown in a week

Agreed. Possible...but not likely.
I have yet to see one trader accomplish this with a real account on a regulated well-known broker.
I managed to change $50k - $13M over four months (25,900% gain).
$200 - $100k = 49,900% gain.
Which is "only" 25,900% gain x 100%.

I say realistically because some traders envision a tradeable strategy as one that never loses a trade, never has a losing day, and atleast doubles your money every month. It’s nice to have lofty goals, but you’ll never find a strategy that meets those criteria.
The market will trade through it’s path of least resistance .

I said it would take 2-4 years everybody, everyone is talking about massively increasing a n amount in just months, I strive for solid risk managent, and compounding over time, thats the best way to consistently have long term growth.

I think those who have done this are not poking around and yelling about their achievement to the general public - with a few exceptions - it has been done in online poker, Chris Ferguson $0 to $10´000 challenge 2006-2007. Yet, that era was a golden time in online poker. Those guys are professionals so with no experience, I assume, such an endeavor is very likely to fail. And, if one has already money in trading there is no need to do such challenges..
Info about good practices in trading are hidden here and there, in bits and pieces. One has to bee smart enough to figure out what is relevant.

No such thing as a super trader--- currently I am over leveraging my account so I can attempt to gain faster growth to hit the time period I set. I will scale back risk and go for a more conservative growth plan now---timeframe to 100k on this account has been extended based on new risk profile, it will take roughly 8-10 years.

Do you mean that you are scaling back your risk intermittently? I want to ask if you act according to the market situation, risking more in a favorable position, and then cooling down, if necessary?

The reason for the latest big loss seems to be an overnight position, which has been left open. That's a quick conclusion I made.
