Let's all comment with our NFP predictions monthly on the first friday of every month and how we think it will effect the markets...

Been a very long time since NFP's done anything mate.

Think you're missing the point. NFP hardly has any effect on the markets anymore. Yet this morning absolutely nothing caused Gbp to go beserk.

In markets where algo's rule the old stuff is out the window.

Years. NFP has had one decent move in last 2 years. I don't even worry about it anymore.

Do you know any strategy how to trade effectively the Non Farm payroll?

There are 20 days a month to trade, 24 hours a day. That's 480 hours a month, 28 800 mins a month. NFP lasts about 5 mins.

Why on earth do you want to focus on the 5 mins ?!

By the way, there's about 25 000 to 40 000 value changes a day on a pair. You are completely ignoring those by focusing on the value changes on NFP alone.

I totally agree with you. Many people think they can win a lot in these 5 minutes, more than in a day or two. That's the reason I believe

It's almost beyond my comprehension how people can be this stupid. I don't know if I should laugh or cry.

Whatever and whenever people wanna trade... what's the matter as long as you make profit?

Because it simply doesn't work like that. Almost no one makes a profit, the entire MT industry is based around no one makes a profit. If you do they have methods of making sure you don't.

The figures are public for the US industry, which is dismal and the rest of the world isn't doing any better. Basically there really aren't many retail fx traders making money. Maybe 10 to 100 in 100 000 ?!

So if you go after 5 mins in 30 000 you are really, really exponentially fucked. Takes a special level of stupidity to go after something that almost never happens.

And I must say, it's starting to look like you know nothing about fx at all.

I just don't see the mindset it requires to make fx work.

All I know it's easy to make pips on NFP.

I will reactivate NFP EA for the next month... I will post results for coming NFP sessions.

It's stupid to try make pips on NFP. On my 30 pairs there over 1 000 000 value changes a day. That's easy. Waiting for a whole month for 5 minutes is insanely stupid.
