USDJPY set up ideas and trades

USDJPY Long set up
Right people this is what I am looking at going in to NFP tomorrow.
With the DXY showing a bit of weakness we could see this pair setting up for a sell off but before we do I feel we could beak down below the low to in trap sellers to the market and then look to retrace back up to discount and above an old high before we see real driving selling force for the long move.
So with that in mind I am looking to find a key entry and short term intraday set up to catch the moves.
Keep a close eye on market structure and remember key entry and price action will be needed.
Make sure you use proper risk management when trading. Let me know how you get on.

Nice idea but at the moment it appears to have reacted off the weekly gap. Expect it to clear the high and then we'll see if we're continuing up or retracing.

the higher time frame gaps are so powerful. Its very helpful to have them areas marked in my charts

DXY is just so powerful at the moment it is relentless add to that the weakness in the JPY and it is breaking recent records in price. Only pair that really is moving tbf

USDJPY has been very bullish in the daily chart. The pair produced a bearish candle yesterday. However, today's candle has been bullish so far. It means the buyers may get into it again and go long in the pair based on the minor charts. A breakout above the last swing high certainly add bullish momentum again.

I think the pair is going to gun for the highs made in 2002 if DXY doesn't turn around to be honest.

its way too volatile for me to even try and trade at the moment. Can't confidently say i know where the trend is so ill be staying out

FOMC has done little to make me change my mind to be honest. Still bullish dollar

It looks bearish to me now. The price has been heading towards the South slowly. However, it seems that it has found strong resistance, which may drive the price towards the downside with more momentum.
Its a tough one to analyse atm in my opinion. ill be keeping my powder dry. USD is in need of a large retrace after its relentless run

DXY is finally looking like it has broken daily structure so we may start to see the beginning of a downward run and thus also on USDJPY
