When you started profiting from demo, that's the time to start doing it with small money. For a system to be considered a reasonable battle tested system, my lowest acceptable criteria is at least 100 trades (unique positions). If you discovered your own system and profited from it after 100 trades (unique positions), then there is a good chance that it can withstand the test of reality.
I agree on that. This criteria is fine to test whether you are ready for the markets or not.

I've read some information in Babypips for months, and also some trading instruction/guide in some brokers' website.
I just don't know when to start? How do I know I am ready?
Look for trader that is experienced in your location and practice along to boost your beginning.

A lot of beginners just want to make money. But many experienced traders think Forex trading is a business and run it on business principles.
That's right and that is the major difference between how seriously experienced and successful traders take forex, in comparison to the beginners.

start trading on demo account now, and keep monitoring people who gives signals, start to trade on a real account only when you are sure about what you are doing.

demo accounts are useless. You don't have real emotions. The second you switch to Live account you'll blow it. Simply because it's real money.
I'd suggest forgetting about demos, just larn to read charts until you can accurately predict the market and then go Live.

i would advice doing both.start trading live with small live account;just to get feel of market and thrill trading.some people have never opened a trade before.i know how keen i was to go live trading.i had traded shares before but was boring.actually looking at results in my live account i would be averaging 50% a year if just kept holding shares till now.mean while test different systems on demo.after many years ;changing from demo to real money becomes less of a issue.demo is very accurate for results except scalping in seconds.back testing is always helpful.test many of free ea;s if you have to see how things work.

Learning to trade is a life-long journey and every trader's journey is unique. There are many things you will have to master, beyond knowing when to enter and exit a trade! On average, you could expect to learn to trade in 1-5 years. Based on all of the traders i know, it took most between 6 months to a year before they saw profitability, which then sustained itself into the future. When learning a new market, put in at least several hours a day.

If you are familiar with trading and think about starting to trade, I advise you to open a demo account first. In theory, trading may seem logical and simple to you, but in practice, it is not so. A demo account will help you to understand the basics of practical trading and will prepare you to work with a real account.
