Importance of demo trading
I have seen many of us consider demo trading as dull. But for me not that dull at all, actually it is totally different , live account is the real market and many financial things affected the market , and it is different with demo account which is positioned as the “perfect market “ by the broker that we use, so that is why that market is good for newbie who want to trade as the place to learn only and make theirselves more familiar with the platforms.
If you trade on a demo account exactly as you would on a live account it probably wouldn't be a dull experience.
I would say demo is good to test strategy, but not to overstay on demo trading for a long period - just to avoid acquiring bad habits :)
Honestly speaking I have passed a long time in Forex but still using demo account, even though so many traders always ignore this trading place. I always use high leverage and all my trading strategies in here to see the performance how it works. This approach always helps me to avoid risk when trading in live.
Demo is very good to become familiar with the platform , trading facilities and instruments. For example (not the same thing of course) - when you want to learn to play poker, but you know nothing, you don't immediately go for playing with lots of money - you go and play with virtual money.
Same is here in the trading - you start with virtual money until you become secure in your skills and strategy and then you go for the real profits.

Accept the loss as experience
The traders who are particularly beginners don’t believe the importance of demo account at all. My trading career after passing a long time I still dependable on demo account, I use all my trading strategies first of all in demo account to see the performance how it works. It always helps me to avoid risk in live trading.

I'd add it's also good for testing new strategies. Testing every random idea one gets in the shower on a live account is probably not a good idea. 😁
I like using demo for new ideas too. Even if a system looks good on back test, it is better to forward test on a demo as well
Hi, just another newbie in trading, not very long time I involved myself with the platform but I fully agree with those who think we should never allow us to jump over the basics from demos and move right away to real trading for me I thinks there's lot of risks involved with my little knowledge for now, I will stick with the demos but again not for a very long time though, just like Baldo suggest.
