Hey

I love this service! I think it's very useful and probably better than most excel based trading journals. However my broker is not in the list and I guess it's not going to be added anytime soon either. So I was wondering if you plan or maybe already have generic broker, that we could update manually using CSV files or similar.

I guess one option would be to simulate an MT4 account and manually create MT4 history files on a generic FTP server. I will look into this if you don't plan to add something more generic.

Thank you!

We're glad you like our platform!

No, we don't have an option for a generic file upload. How would one create a generic file to upload to our servers? This will be an issue by itself.

Also as it will be manual process, this is something that we would like to avoid, as part of our platform's concept is it's fully automated.

Nevertheless, we would love to hear your solution, as we may consider this if no other options are possible.

Hi Staff

Well, I do mean this as a last resort solution to be able to use your page with unsupported brokers. The file generation could be done (semi-) automatically, depending on what kind of reporting each platform offers, or completely manual in excel according to your format and exported as CSV.

I suppose you convert the data you read from the various platform you support into your own internal format that matches your database. So you would just have to publish a file format that fits best your system and create a generic dealer that uses those files as data source.
