As an automated trader managing multiple systems, the MyFxBook Portfolio section is an indispensable tool. We often review our systems' performance several times a day to stay updated on trading activity. Adding a new column: Today (P/L in $) would be highly beneficial. This would provide the most accurate real-time reflection of the system's performance and serve as a valuable metric. Please consider including this feature in a future release.
Let me provide a scenario to help everyone better understand the need for the metric. We have 10 systems that have been evaluated over the last 3 months and are monitored daily in the Portfolio section. During this period, the profit for each system has ranged between 15% and 30%.
Due to a change in market conditions, a few systems began losing 2% per day. However, since the Portfolio section displays only a monthly average percentage, these systems still appear to be performing positively and can go unnoticed.
A reactive approach would involve disabling a losing system only after its monthly average drops below 0%. In contrast, a proactive approach would involve disabling the underperforming system sooner, thereby protecting the gains in the account.
