C'mon oanda....activate everybody.....

Ive spoken to Oanda, they are on it.

Ok oanda have told me that trading will be available noon EST - 1 1/2 hour

WHAT THE HELL!!

not a big deal really, we still have a month. 2 hours isnt much.

they must reset contest start time to market open time next week!

me too... cannot login in mt4

same here..still cannot connect..or perhaps it begin on monday..we'll see

EVERYONE is in the same boat, there will be no advantage to anyone so 2 hours is no problem. Calm down people.

hey guys account still locked 26 mins after start, and why is one competitor already up 5 % whereas we cannot even log in ?

Does no one read what I say, Oanda have said it starts at 12:00 EST, 1hr 20 mins

Due to the extreme volatility some market analysts foresee could result in the coming days, OANDA fxTrade will not accept any trading activity from 6:00 AM EDT until approximately 3:00 PM EDT, on Sunday, June 17, 2012. OANDA believes the convergence of a major market event during off-market hours represents a potential trading risk and has taken this rare step to protect traders from excessive rate fluctuations.

Please note that during this halt in trading, you can still access your account details but no trading activity will be accepted. For this reason, OANDA strongly recommends that all traders consider minimizing currency exposures prior to the trading halt.

If you do intend to maintain open positions during this period, be aware that OANDA will hold exchange rates steady during the trading halt. However, when trading resumes, rates will immediately adjust to the current market rate and it is possible that the updated rate could result in a margin closeout if the price has moved significantly against your positions. Therefore, it is your responsibility to ensure you have adequate funds in your account to prevent a margin closeout.

OANDA apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

Some people are able to trade though..how is that even possible ?

ok to clear this up, 1 person has traded and should be reset,

it will start in 1hr 20mins,

cant use mt4, only fxtrade.

the halt isnt affecting this as thats for sunday.

Guys please give it some time - the accounts should have been unlocked by now and Oanda are already working on it to get it resolved asap.
