Stop loss is important but so if choosing the Lot size. You can still lose you account if you use a small stop loss but a large Lot size

How much gain is realistic ?

The peecent per day or week does not matter. The important thing is consistency. If you make 1% per week then with 1:100 leverage you can turn this into 100% per week. But if you are not consistent then you will eventually loose. Focus on consistancy not percent
