South Korea Export Prices Sink 8.9% On Year In September
(RTTNews) - Export prices in South Korea were down 8.9 percent on year in September, the Bank of Korea said on Tuesday - after slipping 7.9 percent in August.
Import prices dropped 9.6 percent on year after slipping 9.2 percent in the previous month.
On a monthly basis, export prices added 1.7 percent and import prices gained 2.9 percent.

Bank Of Korea Cuts Policy Rate By 25 Bps
The Bank of Korea lowered its benchmark rate by a quarter-point to mitigate downside pressure on the economy. The monetary policy board, governed by Rhee Chang Yong, unanimously decided to cut the Base Rate by 25 basis points to 2.50 percent. The bank had previously reduced the benchmark rate by a quarter-point in February.
