False. 1:100 is rarely the exact best leverage. If you’re referring to the maximum set amount of leverage experienced traders can benefit from using more max leverage with each UNRELATED pair using appropriate leverage on account while for an inexperienced trader 1:100 leverage is probably too much and they’ll most likely blow their account shortly. If you’re referring to per-trade it’s also false since your leverage amount should be based upon SL distance and other factors that very between trades. 1:100 leverage per trade for every trade would be completely ridiculous...

This is not always the case, I have students that have learned incredibly fast. With proper guidance some have been good enough to impress private investors for 100k+ aum in less than a year and have personal results that most people think is not possible. For people that never got proper guidance I completely agree, it's nearly impossible to be consistently profitable in your first two years.

I've been trading for a few years and ended up adopting what was, in my opinion the most successful parts of other fantastic traders strategies and combining the parts that can easily work together to make my own strategy, one strategy for example that is a part of my own comes from my trip last summer to London where I met someone with a darkpool account and he told me his main go-to strategy, which I altered slightly to work better with the rest of the parts of my own strategy "Massive Confluence".

Start with small leverage and only increase leverage with experience if your consistent and your strategy can handle it. look at my profile for a good example.

Risk management is important. However, I feel like most people on this thread are giving it way too much credit. I have attached an image of how much percentage gain it would take to recoup losses at different percentages and we can all see that as it gets to be a higher percentage loss the amount needed to come back increases at an increasing rate. That being said, the knowledge of how to make good proper trades is equally if not more important in my opinion than exact proper risk management, some people do 2%, some people do 1% some do less than that, it doesn't really matter as long as ...

The best way in my experience to use SL levels is to put them where you'd no longer like to be in the trade, I don't base it on percentages as this is silly and will lead to putting your SL at an arbitrary value. I use percentage risk for my lot size AFTER I determine where I'd like my SL to be.
