It's testing the resistance at 1235 at the moment. Considering the doji candlestick on the daily time frame above the support at 1230 it will break above it eventually, I think.

I, personally, doubt that the pair will be able to break above 1.4440 before the market closes later today. I do think, however, that next week we will see a breakout above that level. On the other hand if it bounces off that resistance we can expect a further move to the downside towards 1.4000 again, in my opinion.

The pair broke below 1.2650, the next immediate target is at 1.2600, but I think we will see it fall much lower than that level in the coming weeks. I initially thought we would see some retracement once it reached 1.2660, but apparently the bearish trend is still too strong.

I am waiting to see whether the pair will break above the resistance at 1.4400, because if it does I think it will continue rising towards 1.4600 and it will be time for longs.

The pair has almost reached the support at 1.2660. Even if it breaks below that support first there will likely be a retracement first. I for one will be opening longs soon.

I think that should be all but mandatory in any serious trader's book. It's not a good idea to test a new strategy directly with real money, but I am also not sure that anyone who has a passing understanding of Forex does it. It's just not worth the risk. Test the new strategy on demo, if it's successful test it on a live account with a smaller lot if and when possible, then move onto your regular trading.

I think it's undeniable that high impact news like what you mentioned have a big effect on the market at the time they are released. I do think, however, that effect is for the most part temporary and once it passes the market continues moving the way it usually does and can be understood through technical analysis.

I think that its first target would be around 1.4120 - 1.4100, and if it breaks below the latter it will continue falling.

The pair might be retracing back to 109.10 - 109.20, but I think the move to the downside will continue until the pair reaches 108.40 or even below that level.

The good thing about EUR/USD is that it usually has such a low spread. What I don't like about it is the random spikes it seems to be prone to. I used to trade it a lot, but not anymore.

Gold is testing 1230, but I do agree that it is very undecided at the moment. It's equally possible to visit both 1200 and 1280.

Unfortunately you're right, it's still consolidating. I think it might climb back to 1.4300, but that would still be part of the consolidation.

Frankly I feel much more nervous when I trade the longer time frames like the daily and weekly ones, because I am always anxious when I have a position open. The longer it stays open, the more anxious I become. I prefer opening and closing positions the same day, when it is possible, which is why I follow mostly the 4-hour and the 15-minute time frames.

USD/CAD found some resistance at 1.2750 and it may retrace back to 1.2850, perhaps eveb higher, but I don't think this is the end of the bearish trend.

I just noticed the double bottom that has formed on the four-hour time frame. I think the pair will continue retracing, especially considering that double bottom, and its first target would be around 109.00.

That is why it's better to check the forex callendar at the beginning of the week and preferably at the beginning of every day. Some events, at least, are scheduled, so you can wait for them to happen, rather than react after the fact.

Which are those pairs in your opinion?I, personally, would say that there are more than 4/5 pairs worth trading, but I can't focus on more than 3-4 pairs at a time. I usually just pick and choose which ones I think seem to have the most opportunities to trade at the moment and stick to them until I decide I need to switch to something else because the opportunities are getting fewer and fewer.

USD/CAD is falling for now, but I am waiting to see whether it will break below the support at 1.2900. I don't intend to open more short positions before it does that.

I think that the pair will reach 107.00 soon. And I also think that next week it will likely continue towards 105.00 - 103.00

I don't use any apps, I just google forex calendars and I check them every day before I start trading.
