I've always thought that was something all brokers did automatically, it has never even occurred to me to even check about it. In retrospect must've lucked out with previous brokers.

I think it will eventually reach 124.00, and a breakout above that level would confirm that the bullish trend continues.

Oh, the trend is definitely bearish. It might climb a little higher than it is now, but it will start dropping again eventually. I actually do have longs open but I doubt I will keep them that way for much longer.

There's a breakout above 1110, I think it's more likely to continue rising. I think it might even reach 1150 eventually.

I've used an expert advisor only once since I started trading (and by once I mean one expert advisor over the period of several months) and it was with varied success. In the end I gave up on the idea and decided that I preferred to trade manually. I suppose I could've tried with another one, but I preferred to have full control over my trading decisions.

Since demo simply copies the informational output of the live market, technically there are buyers and sellers, and unless the broker's up to shenanigans positions in the demo should have the same result as in the live account, apart from the emotional effect of trading with real money .

I couldn't agree more. Demo accounts are very necessary to be used as a learning and testing tool, but no amount of demo account trading can fully prepare you for the psychological pressure of dealing with real money. They can certainly help, boost your confidence, but you only fully train yourself on a live account.

The difference in result between a demo and a live account usually stems from the psychological effect trading with a live account has on a person, not from some technical differences between the accounts. Or at least, that should be the case if the broker's not making changes between the two. Demo accounts can be useful for more than just learning on them. Imagine you have a brand new strategy you'd like to test. Are you going to risk real money just to see whether it works on or not? Yes, you have to test it on a live account eventually too, but if you don't have some kind of pos...

One more thing regarding demo accounts. If you have a brand new strategy, it's not the best idea to test it on a live account right away. Personally, I always test it for a while on a demo account first, then I would move onto the live account. Yes, it's different on a live account because the psychological pressure is different there, but it's better to know whether a strategy works on a purely technical level before you put yourself under undue stress when you test it with real money.
