Tight SL has definitely been my most serious cause of losses. Strategy now is to open SL while sitting at the trades and only getting tight if within acceptable profit range or leaving trade open while not attending it for one reason or another.

Happier with the approach of avoiding over trading by not going into a trade unless you have all the reasons to believe it is a winner. and be ready to jump out once it shows reversal to that. My sin has always been over-trading and guessing where the market will go as a result of the fundamentals. Just getting over this after about two years of small but persistant negative to gains tp Loses (g2l) ratio. Avoiding over-trading and not considereing guessing trading but rather gambling has helped greatly improve the G2L ratio.

I second both Megabot and Rihan's advice. Looking at the world you mention in your mail, who will invest with someone without visible results. Also a cent account will get you the money you are looking for in quite short a time... and without partners :-)

Doesn't sound down and out yet. Alpari does have a solid name and given lack of investment oportunities over ME & Russia, I wouldn't be surprised if some deal was struck over the next few days....

A pity about Alpari, they were very decent service providers. I understand FXCM is also off balance.
