Those who have traded consistently the same account for years, managing it like a retirement plan understand that higher percents mean higher probability of the account going away. You make big money, and you lose big money, most of the time losing it all! At 10% growth per month, a 10k account grows in 5 years to around 640k, in 5 more years it is an unbelievable 40 million. My personal account grows about 8% a month, and I am planning for the future, not a quick trip to the casino!

For the non-conventional trader: I have traded for 7 years, I do not use stop loss, I hedge every day, I choose to not take losses no matter what the draw-down, but I grow my balance every day. I have a 85.47% roi for the year (balance). I know what risk is and watch every position I place, and if a trade gets stuck, who cares in my world, I just start trading the other direction, continuing to grow my account larger and larger. Remember 7 years, with large draw-downs, still alive, kicking and growing!

thank heavens I am not part of the 95%, started with the minimum I could trade with and have grown it for 7 years. Now have a six figure account!

I hate EA's, gut feeling is where it is at! Worked 6 hours at my hourly job, and made $700 trading, would quite, but trading is boring when market is not moving!

I know a guy who just started trading (Acc_Cent), you can see his live account on investing.com. the guy is trading only the gbp/usd, taking 4 pip trades, about 230 trades a day with 98.87% win. Doubling 2 times a month!!

If you are getting that kind of return, and are confident about your trading, the thing to do and be secure down the road is not to touch any of it. If you need money, find a part time job!

If you can pull 3000 on a 20,000 account, then you have a very nice trading strategy, personally I waited more like 75k, before I started pulling a salary! My goal was to only take out 1/4th of what I made for the month, so the account continues to grow stronger. Pulling 1k today, could mean a loss of 10k you would have made with it at the end of the year!

I am here to back up forexpipcatcher, This 4XP you are trying to sell might be great in your mind, but you are here with people of intelligence who have spent much time building their own money. We know it is a gamble, but we strategize and are willing to risk a little to grow our own money. It is hard to believe that since 2004 you have been in the market and have not been aware of what some traders can do on their own! I do agree with you on one point, and that is, it is good you have someone trading your money, because you would not make it on your own!

Some brokers run incentives, like they will give you $50, and after you have made 5 live trades, the money becomes yours. But I will give you my 2 cents, and tell you that you need at least $200 to start, just in case, which the market loves to throw at you!

There is a huge difference between a demo account and a live account, if you do not believe me then trade a real account with 50k or more! A demo says nothing about how you react under pressure!
