Hello everyone, do many of you continue to use Add block on myfxbook despite their kind msg to remove it?

I keep getting this message but I don't even use ad blocking, so not sure why it pops up, it's bloody annoying though. I am on firefox. I see all the ads for the brokers left and right.

Awwe no, that's the worst of both worlds :/. I have clear white sides. Tbh, I am not looking for a new broker, or anything Myfxbook advertise so I don't feel to bad for neglecting it.

I have not had a pop window since I've downloaded addblock, makes browsing so much more enjoyable!

Edit, sorry, I don't know how to get rid of the prompts from Myfxbook! thought you mean just adds in general.

okay thanks, I don't mind the ads that much, but the popups are ridiculous when I am not even blocking ads. If it keeps up I will be using the site less and less. I hope admin can fix the problem.

Agreed, but the pop windows annoyed me more than the little square in the middle. ( which is still very annoying).

But it seems it's myfxbook's main source of income?

myfxbook and signal start I believe are both owned by fxpro.com but yes I don't need a new broker so do ignore all the ads, but don't mind if they display, aren't as bad as the popups warning me I am blocking ads when I am not.

I didn't know that! They keep it far from biased towards fxpro, thanks fxpro/myfxbook people.

I may come to the same conclusion in a month or two, I will have to see which is worse!

See I see the ads plus the popup message so annoying. I can't remember where I read about ownership now, admin can probably confirm. But yes they don't show bias.

That is the actual worst of both! Could possibly be your antivirus or something causing it to think your using add block, but I have no actual idea, definitely msg support and fix that.

I get the same message, I only have a popup blocker. I don't use an ad blocker and with antivirus off I still get the same message. I thought the message is standard (assuming everyone will use ad blockers), so I just ignore it. I'm really not going to bother forcing my computer to display adverts instead of the message and thereby accepting popups from other sites (if that's the issue) - you're damned if you do, and you're damned if you don't.

Haha, it isn't looking good! Although I never have had the pop message about it till I implemented addb lock at the start of the week.

The most annoying part for me is that every time I navigate between forum threads it pops up... REALLY ANNOYING! I also see the adverts on both sides, so definitely not blocking adverts here :-/

I am starting to think the popup has nothing to do if you use ad blocker or not, as clearly it's displaying for everyone. If it's not fixed in a week or 2 I will stop using myfxbook. It's that bad / annoying.

Has it only been of late for you 2 as well??? It coincided perfectly with adding add block for me, but if it's only recent for you both, then it must just be myfxbook.

I've had it for what feels like at least a month already... maybe longer.

yes just starting last day or so, I am sure it's a system wide issue and it's displaying for everyone. I have alerted admin so will wait and see what response we get and have let them know about this thread also. They better fix soon, or they will have heaps of desertions over to fxstat or other monitoring software.

And there I was thinking I was the only one being disrespectful for using add block!

I'm sure they will amend it. I still have faith.

Good night all, 1.20am in Aus, nothing spectacular out tonight so bed looks good.

As Ozzie states, it seems to be a standard message (like a replacement of legitimate advert space). I disabled everything, popup blocker, have no ad blocker, no antivirus or adware software... clean! still shows up. I don't mind the message, but every damn time you go into a thread it pops up! grrrr!!!...
