My golden rule is to be patient all the time. I try not to make trading decisions in a hurry. It’s advisable to think twice before opening a trade. I try not to base my trading decisions on one timeframe only. I try to take into account all timeframes.

Mistakes go hand in hand with the progress. So, if you are picking up some new activity be it trading or planting a tree, you'll inevitably face problems and mistakes. For those who write that it is unrealistic to make money here, I can say the opposite. This is a real subject, I have been convinced of that more than once, but you need to be well prepared for it and attend seminars where smart people can teach you something, rather than engage in self-dealing. I have been working with HYCM for three years and I earn twice as much as I do with my regular job.

Greed is very harmful for making decisions and trading. I believe that the only way to eliminate emotional factor is to make trading strategy as objective and accurate as it is possible. Like if you decompose your decision making process into simple and objective steps, you will hardly experience any emotions during trading. It is something like solving equations where you deal with the numbers which can be called facts. Trading strategy should look like solving quadratic equations where you know what to do next in order to come up with the right decision.

I do support the idea that confidence is important in trading, however, it may come not only from expertise and huge knowledge, but also from nothing. I am talking about overconfidence which appears when a newbie watched some videos about 'rich teens who made millions on binary options'. So, such confidence comes from the wrong perception of the markets and trading itself.
