Although the history is less than a year, multiplying the average monthly profit and the max. DD by 2, the numerical results are nice.

I think you can start giving up now :p
probably, if someone has some system, they wouldn't just post it here to gloat.
So unless you're gonna post it yourself, chances are small someone else will

I am the change in the market that causes you to lose :p / Watch out before I negative pip you! ^^

I guess you are right. It was mainly a theoretical question to see and SHOW to the public what are the real chances of 'Average Trader Joe' to make a living by trading Forex.

Comparing to the performance of the world's best private hedge funds (with 20-40% yearly profit), the stated 60-70% stable gain per year sounds like a fantastic performance. And probably it is fantastic, as for now, nobody could show such a strategy.

So what are the chances of 'Average Trader Joe' to surpass the performance of the best hedge fund managers' surrounded by the best technical analysts and IT guys from MIT each of them being paid 300k+ per year...? Just think about it...

But let's assume - just for a minute - that 'Average Trader Joe' ALONE (or with some friends on the side) can outsmart these overeducated and overpaid guys, and manage to achieve a stable yearly 60-70% profit. With a limited capital (10-20k USD) this 60-70% fantastic gross yearly profit is still barely enough to make a living (500-1000 USD/month), at least in most of the countries. And we are still not talking about becoming rich and moving to St. Tropez (France) or Marbella (Spain) rubbing elbows with the 'Rich & Famous'. So assuming that such a succesful 'Average Trader Joe' exists, he has to recruit investors via any possible means, for which MyFxBook would be the best forum. But where is our successful 'Average Trader Joe'...???? So far we could not find him.

The bottom line is that 'Average Trader Joe' has to surpass the performance of the best hedge funds managers of the world just to make a living. I don't say it is impossible, but I let you to figure out the statistical chances of making it.

then I guess I'm with the lucky <1 % average Joe's
I'm not saying I've got a track record of 2+ years, which would be impossible cause i've only started to look into forex <2 years ago. But in the meanwhile I've participated In the ATC 2012 championship,
And succesfully got in contact with an investor through that.

It's because of him I could set up a propper PAMM account.
In the 3 weeks its been online I've gotten a ROI of 30+%
I can't say it's not without risks, I can't say it's not without a temp DD.
What I can say is that my investor trusts me enough to fund me even more.

As soon as I'm hitting enough monthly return you won't find me anymore on this forum.
I'll try to erase as much digital fingerprint/footsteps as possible.

I am the change in the market that causes you to lose :p / Watch out before I negative pip you! ^^
