Before choosing any broker, always do some research. The broker should be a regulated one. Then check spreads and other trading facilities.

ForexPeaceArmy is no good for reviews. I have seen good brokers with bad review and bad brokers with good reviews. It is a mess. Better place for reviews is Trustpilot they have many many more reviews so it is more trustworthy

Fxview and Tickmill are two other good options for gold, spread on xauusd is near to 0.1 - 0.2 most of the time.

What are their fees like? I'm not totally familiar with IC Markets in terms of cost. Do you pay commission there?

Always best to look at some reviews here and on other sites too to get some balance.
If you can't spot the liquidity then you are the liquidity.
I guess you can pick any broker which you want in case you want to trade gold. The vast majority of forex brokers and even crypto brokers offer trading gold, oil and various indices. Here you have to decide what do you want to get from a broker, for example, the particular size of leverage or tight flowing spreads. I believe you have to rely on your personal preferences in brokers. They all are different and thus they offer different conditions. Some brokers might be suitable for a certain group of traders, while these brokers aren't suitable for other traders at all. Here you should just search and try various brokers.

@momo3HC I also look for these three qualities plus lower costs while choosing a broker and Turnkeyforex seems like a good one so far. I am also testing CedarFx these days. I like their initiative of tree planting, let’s see how it goes with them.
why do you want to leave IC Markets? Anyhow, Fxview can be an option. also, fxpro is good.

Sometimes I trade on gold or XAUUSD, I use FXOpen broker that is now confirmed as the best ECN broker-based company news, spread trading on gold is low.
