@spacexdragon Exactly. You are right. But unfortunately most people focus on making money without developing enough skills. That's why most traders are losing money.

Of course yes. This proverb ‘practice makes a man perfect’ will fit perfectly for all the forex traders. How much they practice and learn will eventually reflect in their trade successes.

Guess that practicing is one of the inevitable parts of trading activity, otherwise you just waste your time. Of course, there are some traders who prefer only theoretical approach to any kinds of activity and they believe that if they know all the theories, then it will be easy to handle practice, however it's not about trading at all. As far as I concerned, practicing brings traders much more experience than theory, but we shouldn't underestimate the role of theory in this case. I just want to tell that we shouldn't neglect both practicing and theory. Everything must be combined and stay in harmony. Something like that.

Yes practice is important but most people price just for few months then jump into live trading without developing any trading and mindset strategy. That's why at the end they never learn.

To be successful at Forex you need to practice for years and years and even then there can be months of drawdowns

@skihav There's no option to underestimate the role of practice in forex trading. No one can develop his own strategy without practice. Even to get familiar with an existing strategy one needs to practice.

There are plenty of options to practice forex trading. You can practice it in a demo account.

Yes there is no alternative to practice when it comes learning. For learning practice is the key. But the practice should be done with required knowledge of trading.

Sweat more in practice, bleed less in war. I think we all must remind ourselves of this, whenever we feel like jumping on to a strategy or a method or even a live account when we are still not very sure about our skills.

Not only in forex trading but this applies everywhere in life. Trading gets better with time and practice. There is no fixed strategy that will work every time. Developing a quality analysis takes time and it only comes with practice.

I think you could adapt it to something like 'practice makes probable' in forex.

The more time you spend on trading, the better the results. Practice and perseverance will take me further in trading.

If a person performs a task regularly, the performance of the task would keep on increasing with time. Same is the case in forex trading. If a trader continuously practises trading, he/she will keep on getting better overall returns. This practice may be on a demo account or a live account.

I know some people who practised for years before starting the actual trading. After all this practice and looking at charts daily they gained enough experience to earn big profits. So, saying that practice makes trading perfect won’t be wrong at all.

Practice is key as well for sure like honing any skill just have to work on the fundamentals like psychology and discipline too which only come in with live trading imo

Practice is key in any discipline but maybe even more so in this game of ours and the psychological aspect of trading is pivotal

The proverb is true to each word. Not only in forex but in every other field too, the proverb is applicable. New traders in forex often make mistakes but as they keep on learning, mistakes reduce and so does their loss. Practice is infact one of the most important things that can be done to succeed in forex.

I still think the pursuit of perfection is a flawed one as I said but exposing yourself to the markets helps in so many ways.
