For scalping, make sure you have access to the market through a reliable source. When you’re looking for a broker, make the necessary inquiries and go over the broker agreement properly. Since I’ve been using so many brokers like Xm, Pepperstone, Fxview, etc., I know how careful one has to be while picking a broker. Since you are planning to scalp, I suggest you must try the broker platform and practice for an idea.

Mike, I agree with you and as a scalper I can say that it took me quite some time to learn the various aspects of it. I was hesitant to begin with it at first since I’ve heard people say that it is just for beginners but once you get to the learning part, it gets interesting. Have to keep working for it.
Scalping is itself a way of taking profits from small price change. not sure if there is something like fast forex scalping. Use the smallest time frame and high leverage for scalping.

The best thing about scalping is that it is indeed “fast”. Fast trading, fast profits, a lot of excitement, and not to forget, the regular profits. It is like a mini saving outlet I have with Fxview because of my scalp profits. With my other trading account that I have with IB, I have to wait for so long (it’s completely automated) to see money trickle in, and the difference in the amount that I get from swing trading and scalping is hardly any big. I am planning on becoming a full time scalper now!

Do you think the broker you use makes any diff?

@constancewatts I don’t think so! If I use fxview for swing trading instead of IB, my profits wion't be any different.
I do not think there is something as fast forex scalping because scalping is a quick way to earn profits, and it is only done for a few minutes.

It’s alway about the trading plan that is used, broker is a very minute part of it.

What’s the strategy you use? If you don’t mind sharing that is

Its all about being in and out of the markets in minutes. Scalpers dont hold trades for a long time unless theyre heavily in profit and have trailing stops

Traders need low spreads and fast execution speed for this kind of trading strategy.

I am new to trading. About to initiate scalping. Is there a thing called quick scalping?
What do you recommend?
Hi there. You wont be able to generate huge profits with that... less time frames high leverage is what you will need in order to trade.

I think your profits would be marginally more with fxview dude, saying this because of their low trading cost - if I am to believe what I have heard. Lower spreads, commissions, inactivity fees, etc, would definitely account for slightly bigger profits. I saw the change when I switched from FP Markets to FXTM. Both fairly nice brokers in my opinion but lower trading cost of fxtm fared well with me.

It is a big misconception that one broker is better than the other. The differences if any are very slight in the league of all established brokers. It all comes down to your capability as a trader, to be able to identify good trading opportunities.

You are right regarding the traders capacity but a broker does play a role tooo... For example, if your broker is charging high spreads how can a trader scalp successfully?
The more your practice, the more you learn.

Harry! All cars can take you from A to B, but some might be able to do so in 3 minutes while some under a minute. You know what I mean, there ARE differences. Some broker platforms will give you technical glitches, hard time in order execution, hide stuff, there are so many things.

That’s why I said “in the same league” I found no noticeable changes in cmc markets, fxview or etoro.

How would trailing stops make a difference here? Are they better to use than fixed stops?
